It is time to tell you what will be new since the project is getting real shape now and I got many mails from curious people…

Well I am proud to announce the very first ‘trash the dress’ session in Croatia. Although there are many reasons to trash your wedding dress, the most romantic one is the idea that the bride will not need the dress anymore. More information and many samples can be seen on www.trashthedress.com.

Surely unique for Europe as well is the fact that five brides will be trashing the dress during the same session!!

I really enjoy international marriages! You always get to see the best part of both cultures. It reminds me of a saying I once heard and never forgot: "Love doesn't know borders, only distance"

Opatija and Lovran are wonderful coastal villages with lovely scenery for romantic photos. However, Ariana & Damir wanted to have something else as well (as you can see here) so we also took some photos on a bridge across a highway…

The photo below is from last weekend's wedding which was held in the Ksaver church. I like this image because I know the tension behind…

In the door hall (behind me, so not in the image) are the father and the bride, both nervous, waiting to start walking… father is nervous since he's going to give away his daughter to the young man standing at the altar and the bride since she's confirming a big decision.

Down the aisle, the groom is being nervous as well, the bride – his future wife - will come soon walking in… how will she look like, will she say yes???? Behind the alter the priest, nervous since performing a wedding ceremony is something special… he's about to confirm the everlasting love of a young couple…

Then this little girl, she had to walk first and she is nervous too… everybody is looking at her and in her nervousness she forgot to throw the rose petals on the path…

I love this image because it has the tension in it which returns on every wedding… this is the moment where you can feel it most … (heck, even your photographer is nervous…)

For my new project I assumed I first would need some models in order to make a small portfolio. After all, it is not for the conservative…

Therefore I was very surprised this week that I got several real brides joining the project. What was supposed to start small, suddenly became a bit bigger and now there is a waiting list…

Anyway, the project will be held this summer on several locations in Zagreb. I am very happy to announce that Renata will be there for the make-up. I guess she's the best in Zagreb!

This weekend I had a great wedding in Opatija. Well actually it started in Rijeka, we took some photos in Opatija and ended in Lovran (Icici, to be even more precise). The couple took really time for the photo shoot so we went to several locations (photos will follow later on this week).

The wedding was on the riva (boulevard) and both the bride as the groom arrived in their own boat and after climbing ashore the ceremony was held. The first part of the party lasted until one o'clock in the night and was followed with a little surprise of the couple: Karaoke.

The entire place was decorated by Studio Infinity and looked really nice, with eye for detail which I love since it makes the photos so more attractive…

It is not a secret that I am influenced by great wedding photographers outside of Croatia. I am in contact with many and from them I get new ideas, new methods and new visions which I can apply here in the local market.

At the beginning of this year I introduced the engagement session, a new phenomena in Croatia but abroad a much older concept. I am happy to see that even couples who did not choose me as their wedding photographer come to me for an engagement session…

Anyway, now it is time to come with another kind of photo session… I will not reveal the details yet but this photo session is not for the conservative… it is for the couples who dare!

This weekend I designed the wedding book for Tamara & Goran, they were the first couple in Croatia to order this wonderful book. Since I already designed several exemplars I know the procedure and I can fully concentrate on the designing part which is great fun.

The thing I like most is that next to the flexibility you can also have huge pictures inside. If desired, one page can contain one image only which gives an enormous impact.

As soon as I receive the book, I will take some photos and share it with you….

Today is a bit of a special day because I am shooting two years 'weddings only' in Croatia. In those two years a lot has been changed, not only for me, but for the whole Croatian wedding market.

I remember that some years ago, wedding photography was not considered as art or as special. You received your 200 prints in a plastic album and to bilo je to. Nowadays couples see the importance of good wedding photography since the wedding album is the only visual memory couples will receive… Within twenty years, your kids should be enjoying your wedding as well!

For me, those two years have been great. I can not stress out enough that I simply love photographing Croatian weddings, they are so much fun, and yet, every wedding is still unique!

My latest wedding was in Velika Gorica, and it was my first one there. I must admit the church is very nice and the museum nearby has nice features for a photo session. Below some images of Ivana & Tin taken at the museum…
